Taking that first step towards counselling can feel like a big leap. That's why I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation. It's a chance for us to chat, for you to ask any questions you might have, and to get a feel for how we might work together. Think of it as a friendly, no-pressure conversation to help you decide if I'm the right fit for you. Remember, this journey is all about you, and it starts with making sure you feel comfortable and heard.
Every relationship has its seasons. Sometimes people grow together, sometimes apart, and sometimes they simply need help finding their way back to each other.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where both people in a relationship can be heard and understood. Whether you're experiencing communication breakdowns, changes in your roles (perhaps one of you has become a carer and you're struggling to maintain your connection as partners), trust issues, intimacy concerns, or simply feeling disconnected, relationship counselling provides an opportunity to explore what's happening and work towards positive change.
As a qualified relationship counsellor, I work with all relationships, including married couples, civil partnerships, cohabiting partners, LGBTQ+ relationships, blended and multicultural families, those facing life transitions, and partners who are separating but need to maintain a positive relationship for co-parenting. Even when a relationship changes form, creating a safe and workable dynamic that supports everyone involved, especially the family, remains important.
Relationship counselling isn't about taking sides. It's about creating understanding, rebuilding connection, and helping you both decide what's right for your relationship, whatever form that may take.
If you're looking after a loved one, whether it's a family member with additional needs, an elderly parent, a partner with health challenges, or a child requiring extra support, you know how demanding it can be. When you're giving everything to others, your own needs often slip to the bottom of the list.
I provide specialist counselling because you matter too. Your wellbeing directly impacts your ability to care, and taking time for yourself isn't selfish, it's essential.
You don't need to be in crisis to reach out. Sometimes you just need someone who understands the unique challenges of life, someone who sees you for who you are beyond your responsibilities to others.
The physical and emotional changes that come with perimenopause and menopause can feel overwhelming. Hot flushes, mood swings, sleep difficulties, and a sense of losing yourself are all common experiences, but that doesn't make them any easier to navigate.
I provide a safe space to talk about what's happening to your body and mind during this transition. Together, we can explore managing emotional changes and mood swings, coping with anxiety or low mood related to hormonal changes, identity and self-worth during life transitions, the relationship impacts of menopause, and finding yourself again in this new chapter.
You're not "just hormonal", and your experiences deserve to be taken seriously. Let's work together to help you feel more like yourself again.
Whatever brings you to counselling, whether it's anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, work stress, or simply feeling stuck, you deserve support.
I work with adults of all ages facing challenges, including anxiety and panic, depression and low mood, relationship difficulties, bereavement and loss, life transitions and identity, work-related stress, trauma and past experiences, and self-esteem and confidence issues.
My integrative approach means I draw from different therapeutic methods to suit your individual needs. We'll work at your pace, in a way that feels right for you.
Clinical Supervision
As a clinical supervisor, I work with counsellors and trainees across different specialisms, including those working with adults, couples, children, and young people.
Supervision provides a confidential, supportive space to reflect on your therapeutic practice, explore challenging cases and ethical dilemmas, develop your skills and theoretical understanding, ensure client safety and wellbeing, process the emotional impact of your work, and maintain professional standards.
Whether you're newly qualified or an experienced practitioner, supervision helps you work more effectively whilst taking care of your own wellbeing. I offer individual and group supervision, both in-person and online.
Growing up can be challenging, and sometimes young people need extra support to navigate their emotions and experiences. I provide a safe, creative space for children and young people to express themselves and work through difficulties.
I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent children & young people and those experiencing anxiety or feeling different from their peers. Areas I can help with include low mood, friendship difficulties, family changes, school-related stress, and identity exploration.
