Counsellor in Sidcup, Dartford and Online
Hello there! I'm Dawn Joseph, and I'm so glad you've found your way here. Are you thinking of taking your first steps towards counselling? It's a big decision, and I believe everyone deserves choices when it comes to finding the right support.

My journey into counselling began in a secondary SEN school, where I worked as a residential house lead. It was there, creating a nurturing family environment, that I discovered my passion for helping others navigate life's challenges. Working closely with families, I came to recognise that many parents were carers in every sense of the word, though they rarely identified as such. I also learned that even the most strained or broken relationships could be reshaped through communication and understanding. These insights continue to inform my work today.
As an integrative counsellor, I offer a range of approaches that I can adapt to meet your unique needs. I work with people of all ages, with a particular focus on life transitions. Whether you're negotiating changing relationships or life roles, engaging in therapy for the first time, or returning to explore a new issue, I'm here to work with you and your agenda. After all, one size doesn't fit all!
In our work together, we'll explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe, non-judgemental space. My role isn't to "fix" you, but to help you expand your awareness, understand yourself better, and find the best path for your ongoing journey.
I'm particularly passionate about working with clients regardless of their background or challenges. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can acknowledge your own needs, be yourself, and grow.
Remember, counselling is about us working together at your pace. You're in control of your journey, and I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
I'm committed to ongoing professional development, regularly attending training, events, and seminars to ensure my practice remains current and effective.
